Celebrating music 2020

An important part of Music at Preshil, the Instrumental Music program supports the School’s deep commitment to providing a vibrant and inclusive culture where musical expression is considered a right and an essential element in our community life.

Our tutors are highly qualified, professional musicians who, as well as providing lessons to our students, regularly perform outside of the School.

Places are still available. If your child would like to join the program, please click on our website here to access the Handbook, which gives you all necessary details including the terms and conditions, and complete and return the contract to the office as soon as possible.

Most of us at one time or other have imagined playing a musical instrument. It’s a lot of fun, has endless possibilities and can become a life-long passion.

If your child is interested in learning to play but doesn’t know what instrument to choose, then this evening is an opportunity not to be missed.

We warmly invite you to come along and discover Preshil’s exciting instrumental music culture. Chat to the tutors, listen to them play and, best of all, give the instruments a go.

Tuesday 26 February from 6pm - 7pm

in the Kevin Borland Hall at Arlington

We do hope you will join us.

Performance opportunities

Students are encouraged to gain performance experience as early as possible and this can be achieved in a very relaxed way during music classes, open mic sessions and doorstep concerts.

Preshil hosts a number of ensembles for students at the Secondary School; they are a chance to experience the joy of making music with others, being part of a team and improving their own skills at the same time. These groups meet weekly and work hard for months towards performance goals.

An opportunity for anyone wanting to perform, on any instrument, exists on Thursday 26 March from 6.30pm to 7.30pm in the Kevin Borland Hall at Arlington.  We do hope you can join us.
