District Cross Country Carnival - Winners!!!

On May 28th, our top performers from Black Rock House Cross Country Carnival competed at the 2019 District Cross Country Sport Carnival at Dendy Park, Brighton.

Despite the icy cold, windy weather each runner demonstrated advanced skill and determination, which in the end resulted in a first place overall and first place in the aggregate for Black Rock Primary School. We could not be more proud of the students' success and how humble they were with the win. It truly demonstrates the resilience of the students at Black Rock Primary and that hard work and preparation truly pays off.

We would also like to say a big thanks to Michael Pratt and Louise Shaw for organising the before school running club, which no doubt gives the students the chance to adequately prepare for these events.

Again we would like to say a big Congratulations to all the runners who competed at the District Carnival and we wish all the best for the students that go on to the next level. Go Yachts!

Unfortunately, our first game against Hampton was postponed due to inclement weather however, we have since competed against Sandringham East, Brighton Beach and Brighton Primary. Soccer (Girls), AFL and Handball (Open) remain undefeated. We are very proud of the way our students conduct themselves at these sports always demonstrating great sportsmanship and humility.
