Potentially our most photographed teacher does it again...
School Camp
Monday is just around the corner! Our Grade 3 will be heading to their first camp experience. To minimise the unknown, we have had a full hour discussing things about camp: what to expect, what to bring, what are the main concerns, camp map, logistics, activities, etc.
The bus will leave Newlands at 9am on Monday 24th of February. Please ensure students arrive at 8:30am. In case you didn't receive the paper handed to the students, find here the What to bring list.
Next week, after camp, students on 2-3 will have specialist on Thursday instead of Wednesday.
Devices
We will like to thank you for your patience in regards to the devices! We are finalising all the log in details for the educational apps for take home readers and to further the learning that occurs in the classroom and we will provide you with access and more information on our meet and greet day.
If you haven't yet, could you please bring the device to school next Thursday 27th of February? We will like to have them all connected by Friday! If you are unable to supply a device for the student, please speak with your teacher next Friday at 3:30pm. Students can leave them at school or take them home everyday and bringing them back every morning (charged please).
Meet and Greet
On the 5th of March, from 11:45am to 6:45pm we are holding our meet and greet session. Make sure you book your spot on Sentral, they are 15 minutes slots and we ask everyone to be on time. If you have trouble accessing it please contact the office. We are looking forward to meeting you all!
Seesaw
Seesaw is a simple way for teachers and students to record and share what's happening in the classroom. Seesaw gives students a place to document their learning, be creative and learn how to use technology. Each student gets their own journal and will add things to it, like photos, videos, drawings, or notes.
It has been great seeing the parents engagement and how the students want to proudly showcase their work.
