Year 9 PhoenIX Community Engagement Trails

All Year 9 students will be undertaking a community trail that will engage them with local businesses based around pathways and World War One history. The students will visit agencies/businesses such as;

• MEGT
• South West Health Care
• Warrnambool City Council
• WestVic Staffing Solutions
• Deakin University
• SW TAFE
• Pathfinders - Jobs and Skills Centre
• Centrelink
• RSL/War Memorial

We are hoping that this opportunity will build our students knowledge of support that is available to them with their future plans.

School Production

It has been all systems go with our production crew and cast. Our school musical is coming soon to the Lighthouse Theatre – see below for more information and ticket sales. A huge thank you to all students, staff and families who have been working to make this show come to life.

Pupil Free Day

We will be having a pupil free day on 6th AUGUST. On this day our staff will be working a two components of our 12 month school improvement plan – consistency and mutual respect.

Subject Expo

Please SAVE THE DATE – 8th August. This is a vital event for all students/families to attend to make the best possible informed decisions about 2019 subject selection and future pathways. The event usually begins at 6.30pm and is structured that each year level have a separate starting time. These times will be confirmed in the next newsletter.

Payment and Consent

Please ensure that all payment and consent occurs by the DUE DATE this is always included on the Compass event. Events such as the final House Celebration at the end of term two required confirmation of student numbers, transport organisation and catering purposes to be finalised by the due date; we can’t accept late payments. If you would like to discuss a payment plan for any upcoming camps/excursions you can call our front office to arrange a time to speak to somebody from our Finance Department.
