Why do so many Alumnae share the same style of handwriting?

For many years Mother Violet Dillon’s writing cards imprinted the same style of “school writing” on the hand of every Sacré Cœur girl.  Writing was practiced daily and students were expected to be neat and follow the examples on the writing cards.  It is a style still adopted by many alumnae today and is a distinctive part of Sacré Cœur's rich history.
