From the Presidents
Welcome to our first Esprit de Cœur for 2019!
We extend a very warm welcome to the 2018 VCE class who are now members of our Alumnae community, and become, like all of us, Life Members. We look forward to seeing you at our events which provide an opportunity for all alumnae to reunite in a relaxed and familiar environment.
Our first event for 2019 is our Annual High Tea, on Sunday 19 May. This is a wonderful opportunity for alumnae from all years to meet over a glass of bubbly and a traditional afternoon tea, served by your Alumnae Committee. We look forward to welcoming the 1949 and 1959 classes to their AGM Reunion.
Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel at 2pm, followed by Afternoon Tea in The Kirby Centre (formerly known as The Dining Room). A brief AGM will be conducted in accordance with the Alumnae Association Constitution, including the Annual President’s Report and Financial Report. You will be introduced to the 2018-20 committee, the School Principal and the Alumnae Relations Manager. Copies of the Minutes of the 2018 AGM, the Treasurer’s Report and the Janet Stuart Bursary Fund Report will be available at the entrance of The Kirby Centre.
The Alumnae Association supports the Janet Stuart Bursary Fund which provides bursaries assisting children and grandchildren of alumnae to attend Sacré Cœur.
The Annual Golf Day is on Monday 29 April. Alumnae have a chance to compete for the Alumnae Cup, at Commonwealth Golf Club. Please email Marian Andrews or phone 9853 2776, to participate in this fun event.
The Committee works closely with Melinda Adams, Alumnae Relations Manager, who shares our passion to grow and strengthen the friendships and network of all Sacré Cœur alumnae!
Our warmest regards and best wishes for 2019.
Kerry Bergin and Marianne Cassin
