Technologies – Robotics Holiday Workshop

Over the Term 3 school holidays, the JTC Robotics Team participated in a 3-day workshop focused on identifying a problem in the area of logistics and create a solution to solve the problem.  The two robotics teams travelled to the Fremantle Port to explore the engineering of the port by C.Y. O’Connor and to understand how important logistics is in Australia.  The teams presented their ideas to Anna Dartnell, John XXIII Alumni and General Manager at Aurizon.  Anna provided the teams with feedback on their ideas, offering items to think more about and areas to do further research.  We greatly appreciate the support from Anna and her insight into the field of logistics.  The teams will compete in the First Lego League competition in November and we wish them all the best.

Toilet revamp

The School Toilet Project has been an initiative that has been transforming student toilet blocks across the country.

The 2021 Student Representative Council felt that the B block toilets could also use some revamping and at the same time spread some positivity with messages that promote better mental health.

Thanks to the generous funding support from the College Parents' Association and with the help of the Wellness Team the B Block toilets were transformed over the Term 3 holidays.

We hope that students will enjoy the difference and respect the initiative.
