RSPCA Donations

The VCAL students complete numerous projects over the course of the year. The Year 11 students will be gathering dog-goods and non-perishable foods to donate to the RSPCA before the end of this term. This project is linked to Work Related Skills and Personal Development Skills strands in VCAL.

Collections will be starting on Monday 22 November and will end on Friday 3 December. This is during the Early Commencement Program. All acceptable items will be collected at Reception and the Senior School office.

We will accept clean secondhand or new items, such as toys, leashes, collars, bowls, blankets, towels, dog and cat beds, canned and dry food. Perishable foods cannot be accepted.

We hope to gather a large quantity of good quality pet goods to donate to the RSPCA on behalf of the Aitken College community.

Remembrance Day - Poppy Appeal

The VCAL students have also been involved in selling poppies, badges, wrist bands, tags and, key chains for the Remembrance Day - Poppy Appeal. A few years ago, poppy flowers were planted and propagated by VCAL students specifically for special Remembrance Day Service on 11 November. Every year poppies can be seen blooming beautifully up at the College’s agricultural precinct.
