Thank you letters
Last week, our Year 1 and 2 Community wrote letters of thanks to essential workers from Western Health. These letters were shared with the workers. Thank you to the Year 1 and 2 Community, it looks like you brightened their day in the photo below!
You can read some of the letters below.
Year 5 and 6 Animal Creations
Last week the Year 5 and 6 Community were learning about 3D shapes and their nets. They needed to design an animal using different shapes and then assemble all of the nets to form their animal.
They needed to ensure they included any patterns or details that were associated with the animal (fur, feathers, scales, etc) and
could add extra things such as horns, claws, beaks etc. The students were very creative and enjoyed being at school on Friday assembling their animals. The task also involved the children in evaluating how they went in the learning. Check out some of the creations below.
World Teachers Day - 29th October
World Teachers’ Day is held internationally on Tuesday 5th October. As it falls during the school holidays in many parts of Australia, we celebrate a little later. Victoria will celebrate World Teachers' Day on Friday 29th October 2021.
World Teachers' Day is a chance to recognise and celebrate the incredible contributions teachers have made in Victorian communities.
This year, Victorian teachers have continued to show their resilience, leadership and adaptability throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Teachers (with support from parents and carers) have ensured education continues across the country this year, despite major challenges. They have adapted their learning environments, supported their students and school communities, and continue to share their knowledge with students across the state.
World Teachers' Day 2021 is an opportunity to celebrate the teachers who are making, or have made, an impact on our lives.
Whether you're a current student, have children in school, or have been out of school for many years, World Teachers’ Day is a chance to say, ‘thank you’. From 14th October, help collect a million virtual apples to thank teachers across Australia at:
