Mmmmm, Mangoes are Back!

Mangoes are back for 2021... however the mango farm in far north Queensland is experiencing a significant crop reduction this year due to a much warmer winter than usual. 

In order to meet demand and not exclude people from placing orders, the mango farm has reduced the mango tray size to 4.5kg, ensuring there are mangoes for everyone. Fairfield PS has a total of 344 trays available – we have capped the number of trays to four per person, so everyone has the opportunity to make a purchase.

What’s the deal?

• 4.5kg of Bowen Special mangoes, packed in a single layer tray. This is around 8 large – 15 small mangoes.
• Mangoes are picked ‘mature’ so that when they ripen they reach their full flavour.
• Mangoes ship directly from the farm; they are not held for long periods in storage or ripening rooms.
• Delivery is scheduled for mid-December, just in time for Christmas.
• Mangoes are to be collected from Fairfield Primary School.
• Orders close on Thursday 28 October at 3pm.
• Cost: $22 per tray
• Money raised will be put towards the purchasing of additional home readers.
