Tillie P – Friends of 10
Tillie is working hard at her maths this week! We have been revising our ‘friends of 10’ knowledge using two flour filled gloves to help us. These have been hand in helping us with our maths and only a few have exploded!
Harry E – Weekend Recount Writing
Harry always puts in a big effort with his writing each week. Look at this beautiful writing! Writing in Foundation is all about fun, building confidence and giving it a go. Amazing Harry!
Over the past two weeks we have been working really hard on building our understanding of addition and subtraction, as well as investigating odd and even numbers. Here are some fantastic examples.
Jackson P started with different ways to make 5 and then he also worked on the number 12 using concrete materials at school. Well done Jackson!
Levi G has sorted out some fantastic looking school buses with ‘passengers’ that his mum drew for him. So colourful and well sorted too!
On Monday mornings the Foundation students complete a recount on their weekend. As a class we focus on neat handwriting, spacing between words, sentences with full stops and capital letters and openers - first, then, next, after that and lastly. This student was excellent at using his imagination.
This was a choice board activity where students had to create a list of things that they were looking forward to on the return to school.
