Wellbeing

Welcome to our Wellbeing Page

Hi Everyone,

Excitement is building here at school as we prepare to welcome back the Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students next week.

I recently read an article published by 'Relationships Australia', on how parents and carers can support children upon their return to school following the lockdown. While I am sure that many students will bounce back into school and school routines, some however, may feel apprehensive or uncertain.  I have attached the article below.

Over the next days or week, it would be a good time to have a chat with your child/children about how they are feeling about the return to school.  Chat about re-establishing routines you have for getting ready in morning, the excitement of reconnecting with friends, remind them of the hygiene practices that they will continue to do at school and that their teachers will be there to listen and support them.

A fun family activity to do over the next week or so, is to make a list of all the things each member of your family is going to do, when 'Freedom Day' is announced. When lockdown is over, top of the list for the George Family is: Visiting grandparents, going to a friends house, going shoe shopping and maybe the possibility of a visit to New Zealand for Christmas. For all the things on your families list, I hope that they can come to fruition soon.

Take care,

Fiona George
