Go! Glen Eira!!
At the Melbourne Sports Centre, The Year 7 girls' Volleyball demolished the Division winning matches, scoring sets. With a great team, team tactics, the girls were able to fly through volleyball. Digging, setting, spiking and serving was aced.
On 24th March, the girls Volleyball team headed out to MSAC in Albert Park to compete against different schools in a game of Volleyball. The competition was tough, but Glen Eira College did very well - coming 2nd overall and 1st in the pool of Team A and B. The whole team of 13 girls was split into Team A and Team B. The Girls Volleyball team played 3 matches with 3 sets each and won 2 sets in 2 of the matches. They competed against various schools - Albert Park, Yavneh, Elwood, Elsternwick and Cheltenham, both of the teams (Team A and Team B) played really well, winning nearly all their matches, Team A lost the first and second set of the finals game against Yavneh by just a mere 3 points which placed GEC 2nd overall.
Both groups came up with different strategies that would help them improve in every game they played, there were great players on every team and everybody encouraged each other to perform their best. Everybody had lots of fun and it turned out to be a great day.
