Cultural Diversity Week

Last month, the library celebrated with a display and a range of books celebrating cultural diversity.

Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge

The Challenge is now open until 2nd September and Glen Eira College is excited to be participating. All Year 7 - 9 students will receive login details and Year 10 students can contact the library if they would like to participate. All students who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and former Premiers. To read the Premier’s letter to parents, view the booklist and for more information, visit www.education.vic.gov.au/prc. Students can contact library staff if they have any questions or issues.

CBCA 2022 Shortlist

The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book of the Year Shortlist has been announced. All shortlisted books in the Older Readers are available in the GEC Library.

New Books

Check out our latest editions here. Students are encouraged to borrow for the holidays. All books loaned this week are due after the holidays.

VCE Collection

The library offers a great range of study guides for all VCE subjects taught at GEC. A VCE Resources Information session will be held in the library on Thursday 7th April at the beginning of lunch for students. All items borrowed at this session can be borrowed for the holidays (usually overnight loan only). Browse the collection here.
