Instrumental Music places still available

Following our online Music Information Night, there are still limited places available in the Instrumental Music program. Learning an instrument at school is a positive and beneficial activity for many reasons. More information on the program (and a recording of the Music Information Night presentation) is available on our school website:

We are now able to offer a special rate for the remainder of the year at $356, and the following instruments are still available: 

Trombone

French Horn

Euphonium

Tuba

Demonstrations of all of these instruments are on the website.

We can also offer special rates on school instrument hire for these instruments.

Please also feel free to come down to the Performing Arts Centre, talk to the Music staff and have a closer look at these instruments.

Music Camp for Chamber Strings, Symphonic Band and Senior Vocal Group

Music Camp will run in the 3rd week of Term 2; Wednesday 11 to Friday 13 May. Information and payment instructions are now appearing on Compass.

It is expected that members of these ensembles attend Music Camp because of the significant amount of music learning and team building that occurs over the three days. Senior students will be given study time and find it very constructive to be able to collaborate with fellow students on their school work.

If any students have SACs scheduled during Music Camp, these can be rescheduled with the teacher. Year 7 & 9 students will sit their NAPLAN tests the following week.

If you have legitimate concerns about finances or other reasons for not being able to attend camp, please discuss this as early as possible with Mr Grimmett.

Sponsor a Seat in the PAC

We are inviting you to be a part of our Performing Arts Centre as a Seat Sponsor.

With your gift of $300 (Premium Seat in the front section of the theatre)  or $250 (General Seating) each, you can play your part in continuing to upgrade and create a state-of-the-art facility for use by our students, as well as the wider community.

A plaque will be placed on the back of each seat you sponsor.
