Culture Club Malaysia

We had a wonderful time learning about the different festivals celebrated in Malaysia. Ms Annie Thomas presented the us with the variety of festivals attributed to the varying cultures and religions of Malaysia. As there are so many holidays and festivals, we focused on Hari Raya, Deepavali and the Mooncake Festival which took place in the second week of September.

The students made lanterns for the Mooncake Festival, weaved 2 dimensional  katupat for Hari Raya, and coloured in some rangooli for Deepavali.

Some of our student teachers from Notre Dame joined in to help and learn about Malaysian culture. We were grateful for their help and participation. Many thanks to Annie Thomas and James Ung who were instrumental in running the activities.
