LEARNING IN 4C
Term 3 has been a fun and busy time in 4C! The students loved the hands-on learning task that we completed for our maths unit on angles. The task was to put tape on a table and label the angles they created with whiteboard markers. They made acute, obtuse, right, straight and reflex angles. Everyone showed a wonderful amount of growth on their Geometric Reasoning post-test. Well done!
After our visit to Moonlit Sanctuary earlier in the term, the students worked on creating posters about an endangered animal. They found information about why the animal is endangered and what conservation programs have been established to help the animal. These posters were also presented to the class as a speaking and listening task.
In writing, we created comic strips as part of our narrative unit, with a focus on dialogue. The students loved using the Storyboard That website to create their comics and everyone produced fantastic pieces of work.
