The Sacrament of Confirmation will take place on Sunday 18th September at Mary Help of Christians Church. Students wishing to receive the sacrament must be baptised and have received the Sacraments of Confession and Eucharist. Please ensure candidates send in the information sheets and payment as soon as possible.
Our Father's Day Breakfast will be held at the Primary Campus on Friday 2nd September, starting at 7.30am and finishing up at 9.00am. Please join us for breakfast, hoops and a game of handball. Please return the catering slip that went home last week with the eldest child, by no later than tomorrow, Friday 26th August. Unfortunately, late orders will not be accepted.
We cannot thank parents and carers enough for their support of our students for Book Week. So many excited children, teachers and parents on Wednesday and Thursday was a joy to see. Particularly pleasing were the efforts of our older classes who were very much part of the action with fairies, minions, Men in Black, Coco Chanel (biography) among many other characters. Please ensure you check out social media for hundreds of photos organised and curated by Mrs Ashford...thank you for all you do!
Other celebrations for Book Week have included many activities in various classes and the library over past weeks, and in the Primary Library we have been making dream catchers during recess and lunch this week to include this year's theme of 'Dreaming With Eyes Open'.
To see the winning books from each category, the CBCA Book of the Year winner's list is the place to look for top class books for Australian kids.
As the end of term moves closer, please ensure your child returns any books that have been sitting at home for too long. Thank you in advance.
Primary: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday every week.
Infants: Thursday and Friday every week.
Both campuses are open:
From 8.15am for Early Bird reading and sticker collecting; and Recess and Lunch in playtime for reading, drawing and various clubs.
See you in the Library,
Mrs Annie
K-6 Teacher Librarian
