Senior School Report
Term 3 Highlights
It has been a great term in Senior School. Since our last newsletter, some of the highlights have included:

Year 11 Formal
After much anticipation, the first formal for senior school was held in late August. It was a fantastic evening for all involved. We look forward to the year 10 formal early term 4!
Assembly & Awards
During the last week of term, assemblies for Year 11 and Year 10 students focused on 'Growth & Reflection'. Students were asked to consider the following questions;
-What have you put in to this term?
-How would you rate your effort?
-Where have you shown growth this term? This year?
-What have you put in to achieving growth?
-What can you do to continue and increase your growth in term 4 and beyond?
We then discussed how our the EFFORT we put in is multiplied with our ability and the supports available to us to influence our achievement. Heading into the final Term for 2022, students were encouraged to increase their effort in completing their class work, assessments and end of year exams as they prepare for an exciting 2023.
At the year 10 assembly we had a performance from a senior school band which was a great way to end the term.
The following students have been recognised by their subject teachers for demonstrating the college value of 'Embrace Learning' and for Academic Excellence.

Lunchtime Activities - Pump up the fun!
This term, year 10 and year 11 students completed a survey asking them what activities they would like to participate in during lunch times during term 3. Some of the lunch time activities senior school students have been involved with over the past two weeks as part the initiative are:
- Guided Drawing classes - On Friday 9th September, Mel and Michelle ran a guided drawing class for the year 10 and year 11 students. The students developed their drawing skills while drawing an animal of their choice.
- Futsal competition - The Senior school futsal tournament is well underway. The tournament is three weeks into is seven week fixture. Well done to all the students involved who are playing with great sportsmanship and fair play!

Year 11 - Last week of VCE School Assessed Coursework (SACs)

-Monday - Curriculum Day (31st October)
-Tuesday - Melbourne Cup Day (Public Holiday, 1st November)
Week 6
Year 11 Revision Week - students will participate in a week long revision program which will build their revision and study skills as well as prepare them for their end of year exams.
Week 7
Year 11 Exam Week - students will sit exams in all of their VCE subjects
Year 11 VCAL Final Event - students will present their end of year projects to their families
Week 8
Year 11 - Students will begin their Year 12 classes during our Step Up program
Year 11 - Last day of school for 2022 Friday 25th November
Week 9
Year 10 - End of year exams
Year 10 - Students will begin their Year 11 classes during our Step up program
Year 10 - Last day of classes for 2022 Friday 2nd December
