Armidale Diocesan Gala Day : Change of Date  

Carnival organisers have made the decision to postpone the Diocesan Gala Soccer day due to be held this coming Friday due to inclement weather and likelihood of Tamworth Council closing the fields. The new date is next Tuesday the 20th of September. All other details remain the same. If the change in date means parents/caregivers are no longer able to transport children, please contact the school ASAP. I will have more details about meeting/leaving times as soon as I know how many parent/caregiver helpers I have.

A huge thank you to the parents and carers who have already filled in the permissions. We now have 2 full teams to send to Tamworth.

Event: Details: Diocesan Soccer Gala Day Y3-6

Date:  Tuesday 20th September.

Time: 9am for 9:30am start. Finish time - 2pm. 

Cost: $5 to be paid on Compass.

Venue: Gipp St playing fields, Tamworth.

Uniform:  Sports Uniform (school representative shirt to be worn) and Shin pads. Students can wear soccer boots or joggers. For those who do not own shin pads, there are some available to borrow from school but they are quite small. If anyone has spare shin pads they could lend, it would be greatly appreciated. Please send these into school before Tuesday and I will ensure they are looked after and returned after the carnival.

Please ensure you take the time to like this page, so you have access to the most up to date information on Diocesan sports events. 

Basketball 

Basketball sessions will take place on Fridays until the end of the term. Students will need to wear their sports uniforms on Fridays as well as Wednesdays. Students and staff will travel to and from the Quirindi courts by Howards Coach each Friday. 

Session Times

12:30pm - 1:15pm - Kindergarten and Year 1 (the bus will leave school at 12:25pm and shuffle the groups to and from the courts).

1:15 - 2:00pm - Years 2 and 3 

2:00pm - 2:45pm - Years 4, 5 and 6 

All students will be returned to school in time for usual afternoon travel arrangements.
