Residential Boarding Supervisor 

We are seeking applications for the position of Residential Boarding Supervisor Girls' Boarding at St Philip's College. The primary role is to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of boarding students.

 

Our ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be available to work various evening shifts Monday to Friday and various weekend shifts, on a rotational basis. This position will be working in Girls' Boarding. 

 

Essential: 

  • Previous experience working with young people in a boarding environment 
  • High level of interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to be respectful, firm, fair, and consistent in the delivery of discipline when required
  • Understanding of the legal and duty of care responsibilities of boarding facilities or schools
  • Possess a flexible attitude and be willing to work rotating shifts throughout the week
  • Current driving licence would be an advantage
  • First Aid Certificate, or prepared to obtain.
  • A valid Working with Children (Ochre Card) or the ability to obtain. 

Desirable: 

Certificate IV Community Services, or similar

Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation, Follow the Dream Tutor

Are you interested in becoming a tutor at St Philip’s College? The Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation is seeking to appoint tutors for the Follow the Dream program. Follow the Dream provides enriched educational and experiential opportunities for male and female Aboriginal students. The program celebrates culture, strengthens a sense of belonging and connection to community and empowers students to pursue their aspirations.

 

Positions are available Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the school term from 3:00 - 4:30pm. Hourly rate for qualified applicants (tertiary qualifications in teaching, social work etc.) $50.69 per hour and non-qualified applicants $40 per hour.
