Pitt House Social Outreach Program

Last Friday, Pitt House began a Social Outreach Programme at the Wentworth Falls Anglican Church.

Our Pitt House, Wellbeing and Community Engagement Captains helped the wonderful and dedicated volunteers at our local church, along with the hardworking Anglicare people, to serve members of our community.

The students helped package and hand out bread and pastries, along with assisting at the back and front of house at the very busy Op Shop. A couple of students also sold and made coffees and hot chocolates. The students also helped out with the grocery purchases at the Anglicare Van.

This new initiative is certainly a very worthwhile social justice program that will help educate our students to the injustices in our local community. With their participation in the Social Outreach program, our students are empowered to be advocates for those less fortunate and become agents for positive change in the world.
