Beyond the Classroom

There has been a plethora of activities this term for students to choose from, with 12 different clubs running across the week, the college production, the Victorian State Schools Spectacular and many sporting activities. Here is an update on just a small amount of these events:

College Production

The College Production, 'Back to the 80s', rehearsals are in full swing and the talent shining through in our cast is already apparent! Stay tuned for more information about this fabulous event via our website in the next few weeks.

Artwork of the Week

We have some exceptionally talented art students at our College. To showcase their wonderful work, we are promoting through the Student Bulletin and via social media each week, an artistic creation as 'Artwork of the Week'.

Our first student to be recognised was Kade Anderson, who produced this beautiful drawing during Art Club.

Here is a sneak peak at next week's recipient, Tayleigh Jones, and her stunning digital art.

Students are welcome to come along to Art Club on Wednesdays at recess and lunchtime in B10 and/or Digital Art and Design on Fridays at lunchtime in B9

Dungeons and Dragons

Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy role-playing game, which is extremely popular worldwide with over 50 million players to date! Under the tutelage of Ms Titcombe, the players in our club meet every Friday at lunchtime in 7O.

This is the first time that some of the students have played Dungeons and Dragons and they are all enjoying this new experience.

Any students who wish to come along to join or to find out more about the club, are more than welcome.

Don't Hate, Advocate

This term in Don't Hate, Advocate, as part of Black History Month, we celebrated the Black African History of Australia. Mr Evans and Mr Telford produced an enthralling presentation, which included a thrilling account of early Black African convict-settler 'Billy Blue'.

There are some great activities planned for the Don't Hate, Advocate Club next term including Idahobit Day on the 17th May and there will be something special happening in June for Pride Month - so stay tuned!
