Student Achievements
District and Regional Swimming Finals
We are immensely proud of Kai McQualter from 7.2 and Mara Kerslake from 8.1, who won several events at the District Swimming Competition and then made it through to the Southern Metro Region Swimming Carnival, which was held on Monday, 27th March.
Mara won all three of her events: butterfly, freestyle and breaststroke, at the District level and Kai won three of his events: butterfly, breaststroke and backstroke and came second in the freestyle, at the District level.
Both students performed exceptionally well in order to make it through to the Regional Finals this week, making it into the top 6 students for each event they entered. They swam against students who train daily, and we congratulate Kai and Mara on their remarkable achievements this term.
Victorian State Schools Rubgy Finals
Both our junior and senior rugby teams have played brilliantly this term, including a special congratulations to Liam Kezik from 10.7 who was the Player of the Tournament.
Both teams made it through to the Rugby State Finals, which were held on Tuesday, 28th March at Seabrook Reserve in Broadmeadows. The teams were unsuccessful, but made touchdowns, persevered and showed tremendous sportsmanship in all three of their games on the day.
The senior students coached the junior team exceptionally well.
Congratulations to all of the players on a fantastic season!
There is now a great deal of interest amongst the players in training for Rugby Union, which starts next semester.
