Swimming Carnival

The day of the swimming carnival, the students of Heathmont College showed up with enthusiasm as well as plenty of built up energy to burn.

Students were enjoying themselves with all activities accessible to them. We are pleased to announce that the swimming carnival was only a crime against fashion with Heathmont's quite concerning love of tutus. This however did show off the inclusiveness of Heathmont College, as students and teachers alike confidently showed house pride. It was awesome to see everyone dressing up to support their houses and spreading creativity and positivity to everyone attending!

Huge congratulations to The Age Group Champions of the day being Cooper Fraser, Zara Preest, Archie Gordon, Abby Bricknell, Benny Piefke, Marley Aveling, Riley Mitchell, Maddison Butler, Jackson Sheehan, Claire Puckering and Matthew Smit. Students who participated and were not able to get the title of age group champion still had the chance to show off their skills and sportsmanship. All students who participated in all events deserve a huge applause from all staff and students!

The final results from the day for the house competition came very close but the winners this year for 2023 were Flynn in first place with 585 points! Monash in second holding 530 points, Gilmore with 510, and last Hollows coming super close to Gilmore being 503 points, ending the Swimming carnival of 2023.

Being students of the 9 Life Media and Journalism class, we are proud to have had the opportunity to report on the positive day everyone at Heathmont College had at the swimming carnival.
