Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Families

STEAM

In STEAM, the junior school have been revisiting the elements which make up STEAM. This is science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths. We have been sharing our strengths and interests that are related to STEAM and it has been fantastic learning new things about our students and building positive relationships in the STEAM Creation Studio. An exciting part of our learning so far has been introducing our students to the possibility of a STEAM career and getting them excited about opportunities for them in the future. Watch out for our future video game designers, engineers, scientists, veterinarians, and fashion designers! Moving forward in STEAM this term, we will be focussing on the fundamentals of the engineering-design process, and practicing basic building skills such as cutting, attachments, assembling and manipulating materials. 

KITCHEN GARDEN

In Kitchen Garden, all classes have been revisiting safety and expectations in The Patch and kitchen lessons. In Foundation we are getting to know our garden space, and exploring what we can find in a garden, what happens in a garden and how we can care for our garden. In year 1 and 2, we are practicing how to use garden tools safely and responsibly with many of our students already receiving their garden tools licenses! In senior school, we have created kitchen expectations around safety, clean up protocols and teamwork. This week we are super excited to be making Asian cucumber salad. FRIENDS OF MARAMBA (FOM)

Friends of Maramba (FOM) is a parents, carers, grandparents, aunts and uncles committee that work together to raise money for improvements to the school community.

During the school year we organise a variety of events including: Bunnings Sausage Sizzle, Mother’s Day stall, Father’s Day stall, Canteen, Special Food days, Fetes, fundraisers and much more!
