Art

in Art we have been getting festive and enjoying creating some Christmas Art, including ‘elfing ourselves’! The whole school was made into elves and were bringing joy and laughter all over the place. Students are now busy creating some Christmas wreaths that they have wrapped wool around and will weave some pine tree foliage and decorate. 

The 5/6 students finished their amazing abstract portraits and they were absolutely fantastic. Well done to our senior students for challenging themselves with something different. 

All students should be very proud of their efforts and creativity in Art this year and I can’t wait for all the art to come next year.

Italian

All students have enjoyed learning a little about Christmas in Italy. La Befana is the Italian witch who visits children on January 6, bringing treats. She comes 12 days after Christmas to mark “The Epiphany”. Students were involved in making La Befana and listened to the traditional story. Next week, students will bring home a Christmas card written in Italian with the words “Buon Natale” (Merry Christmas).

Buon Natale a tutti e felice anno nuovo (Merry Christmas to everyone and a Happy New Year).
