Student Wellbeing
This term at SJV our classrooms will be using the RESILIENCE RIGHTS & RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS program. This program is researched based and is used to support teaching for social and emotional learning and to help foster respectful relationships. This term the students are focusing on two topics.
Topic 1: Emotional literacy
We will learn about different emotions and how we can work with others.
Warm up game for the classroom: Ask students to walk around the room and freeze when you make the signal. Then ask them to make themselves into a sad statue. They will hold this pose for the count of five, then relax. Repeat using other emotions.
Topic 2: Personal strengths
We will learn to think about and use our personal strengths.
Warm up activity for the classroom: Can you name a behaviour that shows these positive adjectives?
