Opening School Mass
A reminder that we are looking forward to our first Mass of the 2023 school year this Friday, 10th February at 9:00. All families are invited to join the students in celebrating the new school year.
At the Mass we will welcome our Foundation children and other new students to our school community through the clapping ceremony. The children will be processed in to the church where they will be welcomed to the St John Vianney's Parish and School Communities with a thunderous applause!
Throughout the Opening School Mass our School Captains and School Leaders will be presented with their badges. Finally, our Staff will be commissioned into their 2023 roles - may we keep them in our prayers as they begin another teaching year!
After Mass we invite our Year 6 parents to join their Year 6 child in a celebration of their leadership roles with a morning tea in the Performing Arts Area. I am certain that our 2023 leaders will be strong role models for our school and provide an amazing service to our wider Parish community!
Rite of Acceptance - Reconciliation Students
On Saturday 11th/ Sunday 12th February students who are receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation will need to attend the Rite of Acceptance Mass. They must attend one of the Mass times on this weekend. The children will be presented to the wider parish of St John Vianney where they will be prayed for throughout their Sacramental Journey.
Throughout the week, all children who are receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation have received a large white envelope. In this envelope there is a workbook and a slip.
The slip needs to be completed and brought with them to the Mass indicating their attendance.
Sacrament of Reconciliation will be Saturday 25th March at 11:00 am.
The Workshop for the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be on Saturday 4th March at 11:00 am. Preparation for the Sacrament will on Tuesday 21st March at 6:30 pm.

Please note that the Sacraments are organised through the Parish of St John Vianney's. All enquiries regarding the Sacraments must be directed to Deslene at the Parish office. The school has been advised from the Parish that enrolment for the Sacrament of Reconciliation has closed for 2023.
