Welcome to new staff

My name is Jenny Willmott and I am very excited to become part of the SJV community, as the new Deputy Principal and Wellbeing Leader. It is a joy to have already met so many smiling faces and friendly welcomes. It is so obvious already that this is a special place to be.
Over the past 11 years I worked at Holy Saviour Primary School, in Vermont South. My role at the school was Deputy Principal and Curriculum leader. I especially love maths!! I also love working with a school community to build and strengthen connections.
In my spare time I have three children, a husband and one crazy Border Collie to keep me busy. We love to walk our ball chasing dog, Jazz, each day. I am a passionate Essendon supporter (don’t hold that against me) and I absolutely love the beach.
Can’t wait to get to know you all better and please come up and introduce yourselves. Feel free to call in for a chat if you have any questions or queries.  Have a wonderful start to 2023!

A big hello to the SJV community. I'm Andrea Harvey and I am thrilled to join the 5/6 team as a teacher and level leader. It has been a pleasure meeting the caring staff, and the
gorgeous children who make this school a family. I already love my class, and I'm looking forward to the year ahead, where we can all grow in knowledge, understanding and in our love of learning. I have had many leadership roles in my career as a teacher, and spent the last 5 years at St Mark's Dingley as 5/6 teacher/leader. In my personal life I love travelling, exercising, painting, shopping, socialising and laughing with friends and family. I completed my first triathlon a few weeks ago and generally I'll give anything a go. I look forward to meeting parents and families, so please say hi if you get the chance.

Hello SJV community, my name is Sarah Blakemore. I am delighted to be working at St John Vianney's this year as the teacher of 1/2B and also the Level Leader of 1/2. I am new to SJV’s, although I have been teaching the last 5 years at St Paul Apostle South Primary school in Endeavour Hills. My passion for teaching lies in making sure that every student loves coming to school and gets the opportunities to learn and grow. I am very excited about the year to come and look forward to building lots of great relationships with all the staff, students and families at SJV's. Don't forget to come and say hello if you see me around. Outside of school I love going to the beach, dancing, playing netball and spending time with my friends and family.
I will get a photo taken one morning this week, so that it is nice and clear.

Thanks,

Sarah

Hi my name is Liz Green but I am known as Miss Green. I am very excited to join the SJV community as an LSO. Before joining this wonderful school I was an LSO for 12 years at Good Shepherd Primary school. I felt it was time for a change and an opportunity to meet new students and staff which I have found to be so welcoming and friendly at SJV. I enjoy supporting students and developing their potential to be the best they can be. In my spare time I love to spend time with my 2 children, family and friends and going for walks with our cheeky dog Oreo and cuddling up with my cat Ebony. I like to be creative and enjoy arts and crafts and watching netball and movies. I am really looking forward to a wonderful year ahead working with an amazing team of teachers and LSO’s and getting to know and trying my best to remember the names of all the students.

My name is Jesslyn Lan. I have just graduated from a Master of Teaching at Monash University. This is my first year as a classroom teacher. I'm new to St. John Vianney's though I live local to the school. Before becoming a classroom teacher, I worked in an EdTech startup, at Monash University, at various schools and as a youth minister. I am really passionate about all things education, young people and learning. I am also a proud mum to a 20-month old girl, Grace!

Hello lovely SJV Community,
My name is Andy Kinsella and I am so thrilled to be here teaching Foundation this year in FKC (also known as the KFC's which has provided many a giggle amongst our little people). I have felt so very welcomed by the staff, parents and children and I look forward to getting to know you all throughout the year. I have a genuine affection and commitment for teaching our little people. The first year at school is such a precious and important one to build solid foundations and instil a deep love of learning. It is an honour to have this opportunity and I look forward to contributing to this wonderful community of SJV. When I'm not teaching, I am a mum to 5 children aging from 12-23 years and I love cooking for them and spending time at the beach. Looking forward to a wonderful year ahead.

My name is Leah Whiting. I am so excited to be joining the SJV community in 2023. This year I am teaching Year 3/4. So far we have already had a wonderful start to the year, settling in all together. This will be my first year teaching being fresh out of university last year. I have received such a warm welcome from the school community already and I am looking forward to being a part of such a wonderful school community. Outside of school I love spending time with my friends and family, going to the beach and going for walks with my dog Molly. I am so excited for the year ahead!

My name is Michael Fantonial.  I’ve come from Mackillop Education, Caulfield where I worked closely with secondary students living with trauma and other diverse needs.  I’m excited to be here as an LSO at St. John Vianney’s as I begin my journey to become a teacher, studying a Bachelor of Education online.  In my spare time, I’m either listening to music very loudly, or watching movies with my wife and cat. I’ve received a very warm welcome from both staff and students and feel very blessed to be here.
