Fabulous 5/6

Grade 5/6

We are fast approaching the end of the year, and what a year it’s been. We have had so much fun together and will miss all the grade 6s that are leaving dearly. We wish them all the best on their journeys and cannot wait to see what they will achieve in life.

Feelings about our last weeks together

I still can’t believe how quick the year has flown by. But at least this year flow by with laughter, happiness, drama and emotion. We have connected with each other in amazing ways. Such as new friendships with one another. We worked as a team and tried to have each other’s backs. But sadly, we can’t stop time and it will soon be time to say farewell to the year sixes and anyone else that’s that won’t be here next year. An emotional part on my behalf would be leaving my friends that I’ve connected with though out the two years I was at le page primary school I wish everyone good luck for next year and good bye.

Our last visit to the kindergarten

For the last two terms we have been visiting North Cheltenham Preschool. We taught them how to play Simon Says and do basic life skills and made it fun at the same time. Sadly, the fun had to come to an end with our final day on Tuesday with our buddies. On Tuesday we had a picnic with all our buddies, we made Fairy Bread and ate delicious snacks with our buddies as we bid them goodbye. Though some of them are coming to Le page next year, it was the last time some of the year 6’s will ever see them. This was a wonderful experience for the preschoolers and the 5/6’s and I hope we do this again next year.

The Big Bike Ride

This week on Wednesday, the grade 5/6s bike education program ended with us going on a big bike ride to Mordialloc pier. Everyone had an awesome time, and Mr. D, Miss Anna and Sam came along too. When we got there, Mr. Bradley took us for a walk down the pier and on the beach. Then, we enjoyed ice-cream and chips before we started to make our way back. Our way back was a very relaxed ride. Before we got to school, we stopped at the park in front of DFO and hung about for 10 minutes. Before we headed back to school. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience we will never forget.

The Big Day Out

This week on Thursday the 8th, the year 6s went on The Big Day Out. We all voted to go to Bounce Trampoline Park and get burgers from grilled for lunch.

At about 9:05 we boarded the bus to Bounce, which Mr. Bradley drove. On the way we hit some KILLER TUNES! Thanks to Sam and his phone, although some of them were oldies.

When we got there, we all got given grip socks, we then put on our shoes and went straight to the rock climbing and high ropes course. We all had a blast climbing, shout out to all the people who had a shot even though they were a bit scared. As well as Christian and Levi’s immense speed and when they almost tied on the Rubix cube rock wall challenge.

Then… we hit the dodge ball arena! We had a show down of the century…Teachers vs Students. The students won of course, but with a couple injuries along the way, including Sam’s major ankle injury in the mono vs mono Christian battle.

After that we made our way to free bounce, Alana, Gaby, Mr. D and Soph did awesome tricks and flips. We had the tag game of eternity! Where Mr. D stacked it on top of harry!!

We were then allowed to go to the cliff drop, the massive pillow and trick tramps. Christian, Harry, Levi and Mr. D were showing off there tricks on the tramps, whilst Sam had ice on his ankle.

Leeroy, Reeve and Mitch were doing some great tricks, but Sophie showed the up when she did cartwheels and walkovers off of the Cliff Drop!

When we got back, we met up with the year 5s to have lunch. Miss Anna and Miss Hayes arrived back with the food, and we all scoffed it down. After we watched Detective Pikachu and where given lollies by Mr. D.

It was a wonderful day, and it meant a lot to us all. A big thanks to Miss Anna and Miss Hayes for getting us the food and just being there for us. Mr. D and Sam for organizing our day, having great tunes and having a go on the tramps, and finally Mr. Bradley for driving our bus.
