Dean of Middle Years: Transition and Outcomes

My name is Victoria Nicolas and I started teaching 39 years ago. I have taught at 10 schools in Sydney, the Northern Rivers of New South Wales and in Brisbane. I am currently studying for a Master of Educational Leadership at ACU. In the role of Dean of Middle Years, I would like students to develop the skills needed for success in senior. I also want them to build healthy relationships, to try new activities, to step outside their comfort zone and to be agents for their own learning. My advice to students is that they can do more and be more if they commit, are resilient, and seek and use feedback.

Dean of Senior Years: Transition and Outcomes

My name is Kate Pacey. In my time as a teacher my main teaching areas have been English, History and Religious Education. I have been fortunate to complete post graduate studies in Special Education and Educational Leadership, and my career as an educator and leader of education has been well informed by both. This year, I am excited to partner with students, parents and staff to support students in Years 10 to 12 in realising their post school aims. My advice to students is to work with teachers to look for patterns in their feedback (data and comments). This can inform next steps on areas to work on, and strategies to support these areas. Being open to this process opens opportunities for improvement.
