Library News

The school library is a wonderful hub of learning and discovery where all students are welcome.

Other than offering books, computers and resources, the library is a safe space where students are encouraged to think, create and share information with their friends. Respect for other library users and the resources is something we value at our College.

New to the Library

The Library has just purchased a large collection of penguin popular classic books to add to our classic book section. Take a golden oldie home for the holidays!! Books range from Beowulf to modern classic books, like Day of the Triffids.

Book Recommendation:

One of the most popular and student recommended books at this school is:

The Ruins of Gorlan

by John Flanagan (Find me in the Fantasy section).

First in the exciting Ranger’s Apprentice series.

One of the castle orphans, Will, has always wanted to be a Knight like his father. Instead, he becomes an Apprentice Ranger, a position that brings him a world of secrets and danger. A world in which Will learns to excel!  A fantastic series and thoroughly recommended!

A Waltz for Matilda

by Jackie French (Find me in the Classics section)

During the great depression of the 1890s a young girl, Matilda leaves the slums of the city to find her father and his farm in the countryside. Her story and growth mirror that of Australia itself. A wonderful empowering novel and the start of a fabulous Australian series by an acclaimed Australian writer. Great relatable characters.

We look forward to seeing you in the library soon! Come and find the perfect book for you.
