From Principal Team
Well Hello All,
This morning I witnessed a wonderful Parent Helpers Session with Leah and the sparkling parents. The conversation and engagement was refreshing and informative. I asked Leah after the session if “she had learned them good” to which she replied correctly she had “taught them well”. We look forward to our parent helper graduates joining our classrooms and value-adding to our school community.
This week we have also seen the reopening of the canteen. A big shout out to Frankie and his team on being so accommodating to our school. We will be seeking feed back later this term to ensure provision meets your needs.
It is however important to note the contract is between the school and the café so all feedback needs to come via the school and not directly to Frankie at the café.
This week we have had some stars in the sporting arena with Eva from Year 5 coming second in her age group in the Primary Cross Country. Congratulations to our students who competed in the Secondary Cross Country event today - Lexie R from Year 7 came in 3rd place for her age group and Ryan A also from Year 7 came in 4th place for his age group. Charlotte A from Year 9 came in 2nd place for her age group. Be proud, stand tall as we are most impressed.
Finally today’s activities at Primary to celebrate and indulge our mothers and other special people was a real winner.
My mother is 88 years old and lives on her own in Echuca. She is my hero and has just mastered using Zoom and Facetime. I believe being a mother is where some of our human behaviours reflect those of the animal kingdom as it would appear as the lioness shows it is not safe to get between her and her cubs.
Our children are the most precious gems in our lives and Mothers' Day just gives us a chance to say thank you. A card or a drawing or even a hug is all we need to know you care.
Enjoy your weekend.
