Community Association
A meeting was held on Tuesday, 20 April for the St John’s Community Association (CA). Thank you to those who attended in person and via Google Meets for this meeting.
There were quite a few things discussed but listed below were the main topics high on the agenda.
- Grandparent’s Day – Wednesday, 28 April 2020
- Father’s evenings – Friday, 7 May 2020 (see information below)
- Mother’s evenings – Friday, 14 May (see information below).
Moving forward for 2021, we have a new Chairperson. Thank you to Amy Prenc for taking on this role. Please don’t forget the CA is a great place to meet new people and share in the school’s social events. All parents/carers are encouraged to attend the meetings. This is an opportunity for you to meet other parents, voice your opinion on Community Association events and matters and share new ideas for the future of the CA.
We love to see “new faces” join in the fun. If you have a small amount of time to spare and would like to help with any of the activities throughout the year, it would be greatly appreciated.

Easter Raffle
Congratulations to the winners of the Easter Raffle and thank you to Anna Carnovale for organising the event which raised over $900.
Mothers Day Breakfast
Every year we have the tradition of the Mother's Day Breakfast. A morning that enables all of the St John's Primary mums, nana's and grandma's celebrate being a Mum with their children.
Unfortunately this year - with the combination of Covid-19 and the building works the normal breakfast is not viable. At the C.A. we have thrown around a number of ideas, but they all leave us short of having the breakfast that we all know and love.
So we have had to make the hard decision that this year's Breakfast needs to be postponed until Term 4. Not only will the weather be a little warmer but the building works will be completed and we will also have a better view of how Covid-19 impacts what we can do as well.
May all the Mothers and Grandmothers have a great Mothers Day with their loved ones, and we look forward to having the breakfast later in the year.
