Welcome to Term 2

Dear Parents,

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter and holiday break. Although the calendar doesn’t look too full at the moment we’re sure it will turn out to be another busy term. We have lots of exciting things happening in Foundation, beginning with our excursion to Melbourne Zoo.

We continue with our literacy block each morning from 8:45am-10:45am. Our whole class Jolly Phonics focus will finish during this term so we will transition from one literacy activity to two. Numeracy takes place each day. It is done for a total of 5 hours for the week although it is not always in hour blocks due to Specialists.  If you would like to offer to help in the classroom you are more than welcome.

A reminder that we are now using blue folders for communication between home and school and yellow folders for M100W, take home books and reading journals. Both folders  are being brought to school each day as we are reading and practising M100W each morning.
