Learning in 5C

This term in 5C we have explored Indigenous culture in English and have used books such as The Rabbits to explore the British arrival in Australia and have created found poems. This led into our inquiry project of invasive species that have been introduced to Australia.  Here is an example of one of the founds poems that were created this term.

During this time, we acknowledged Sorry Day which made way for a very in-depth discussion about migration and colonisation. The students really enjoyed learning and contributing to the class discussions during these lessons.

This term was supposed to see us going to camp, but unfortunately this did not occur due to us being in lockdown and having to go to remote learning.  However, the students have adapted well to this change and have engaged enthusiastically to continue their learning.  We are even enjoying this form of interaction.  Don’t worry we will try for take two on camp in October.
