St. Brendan's Feast Day

Walk-a-thon and Hot Dog Day

St. Brendan's Feast Day Celebrations

What a great celebration we had last week as we commemorated St Brendan’s Feast Day, Sunday 16th May.

The students read stories about St Brendan and the journey’s he made across the seas to find the Sacred Island of Saints.

The students in Junior Years created paper boats and retold their own story of St Brendan with illustrations and simplified text.

In Middle Years, they completed a mindful drawing of St Brendan’s boat on the wavey seas, and in the Senior Years the students unpacked the story of St Brendan and created their own Power Point presentation about his ocean adventures.

On Friday, 14th May we all came together in the morning for a lovely prayer, led by the Catholic Identity Team and sang our St Brendan song with ‘gusto’!

Father Joe joined us and led us in a prayer for St Brendan and all the students at

St Brendan’s.  We then set off on our own journey across Shepparton, with our walk-a-thon.  We had some brilliant autumn weather and all students enjoyed the walk and hot dog lunch.

A big thank you to the parents who helped out with our hot dog lunches, they were delicious!
