In 3/4K the students practiced drawing floor plans during their Maths class

Here are some photos of the year 4s doing some mapping and grid referencing for Maths. Each student played the role of the Director and a Robot where the Director verbally instructed the Robot to follow the path.

This week in 3/4M includes a writing piece by Sophie B. She is writing a narrative about a Mexican restaurant. She is in the revising and editing stage, and will be publishing soon.

The Maths piece is by Abigail. She was trying to find which shapes had line and/or rotational symmetry.

Mother's Day Celebration

Our Foundation students invited their Mothers or Special Person to come along to an afternoon tea at school. They were treated to many lovely activities.

EXCITING STRUCTURE PRESENTATIONS IN 1/2

Today we had two guest speakers, Sian (Lily, Harvey and Max’s mum) and Sarah (Will’s mum 1/2H). They shared their expertise and knowledge through their experience working at the Metro Tunnel (Sian) and an architecture firm (Sarah).

Our students had lots of great questions about structures and the design process.

We will be designing and building our own ‘city’ in our classrooms in the next weeks we will be asking for boxes and cardboard objects, so start saving you recycling!
