Carlton Community Cooks – School Cookbook Project!

With the Fete postponed for another year, the school has a couple of alternative fundraising projects planned for 2021. Our major fundraiser is an exciting new initiative which, with the help of our fantastic local community, we hope will be a great success;

Carlton Community Cooks!

We will be gathering recipes from our families, local restaurants and businesses to create a gorgeous cookbook that will feature family tested recipes, photographs of food, our beautiful school + our children’s art. The cookbook will be printed and ready for sale toward the end of the year (great Christmas presents!) to help raise much needed funds for the school.

We would love your family recipes! Our hope is that the cookbook will be representative of our school’s diverse community and we’d love to gather recipes from as many families as possible.

Please have a think and chat to your family about any favourite recipes you would like to include. Stay tuned for details of how to send the receipts to us ( both digital and hard copy formats will be available).

We would also love to hear from members of the parent community who would like to be involved in any of the following areas:

Approaching local restaurants and businesses for recipes (and to sell the book)
Recipe testing
Food styling or photography
Editorial or design of the cookbook
