Refurbishment

It is pleasing to report the Wellbeing Centre and Front Office refurbishment are now completed.  We would like to thank the community for their patience and cooperation throughout the building phase.  I am sure once you see the finished product you will appreciate the time it has taken to construct a modern purpose-built facility.

School Council showed great vision and leadership in approving this project. The building is fully compliant with the latest building regulations and now reflects the importance of wellbeing in our school community and will provide improved access to the administration services for all community members.  The design links seamlessly in with our external courtyards and yet to be completed indigenous garden.

I would like to make special mention of Richard Hall who works in our technology department.  Richard with the assistance of Brad Abbey designed and constructed the reception counter,  principal class desks, credenzas and drawer pedestal sets.  The quality of craftsmanship needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.  Our property management team of Damien Tossol and Luke Higney also made significant contributions to the design and installation of new garden areas with further works to come.

Special thanks need to go to John Lafranchi (Project Consultant) and John Springett (Chippa Constructions) for their support, expertise and commitment to providing the best possible outcome for the Elisabeth Murdoch College community.
