Year 12 Graduation

Celebrating community, friendship and new pathways

On Thursday 10th October we held the Year 12 Graduation at Grand Hyatt in the city.

We had a beautiful night of proceedings that celebrated everything the Class of 2019 enjoyed and experienced in their time at Northcote High School.

The night’s proceedings included:

• Guest Speaker Jacob Erlandsen, who is a Northcote High School alumni from 2007 who shared his and some of his closest friends journeys since departing the school
• Principal Sue Harrap reminiscing and sharing a number of memories from herself and staff
• Two of our school captains, Noah Sutherland and Jane Nguyen who shared how much the school meant to them and their peers, highlighting how amazing our school community is
• Performances from the Symphonic Band and Harmony vocals
• The presentation of awards and graduation certificates.

Many students and families had photos taken on the night by the professional photographers and we will soon be sending the link and password so you can look and purchase any further photos. We will also share some more photos of the graduation in future newsletters

A huge thank you for all the hard work a number of staff put in to help make such an amazing night, in particular the Year 12 Program Leaders, Carolyn Richard and Beth Wright, Year 11 Program Leaders, Jane Lange and David Norman, our admin assistance from Sarah Williams and Kate Challis, the Music students and staff and all our amazing staff who came on the night and helped with a variety of jobs.

We had such a great night we have already booked in Graduation at the Hyatt next year for Thursday, 8 October 2020!
