Help needed - support asylum seekers

Year 11 ASRC food and goods drive
The Year 11s have recently launched our Philanthropic Project- a goods drive in partnership with the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre. The Year 11s are working hard to collect goods but would greatly appreciate support from the wider Northcote High School community. The ASRC’s goods bank provides free groceries to more than 700 people a week, most of whom have no income. Every donation makes a difference to people seeking asylum.
The top 10 items needed are: honey, tinned tuna in oil, coconut cream, tomato paste, sweet and savoury biscuits, toothbrushes, dried spices: cumin, coriander, turmeric chilli and black pepper, basmati rice, dishwashing liquid and laundry liquid (up to 1 litre).
Other items needed are: jam and peanut butter, tinned peas, carrots and corn, tinned fruit, tinned tomatoes, pasta, nappies of all sizes, baby wipes, toilet paper, laundry liquid and sanitary products.
*Please note we do not need baked beans, tinned soup or tinned spaghetti.
If you have items to donate, please leave them in the box located inside the main entrance of the school.
For more information, please see the Year 11 captains: Lucy, Rosie, Dimi or Sam.
Thank you
Lucy
