Youth Leadership Summit

On Tuesday, 23rd July, nine of PCW’s junior leaders, across years 7-9, attended Stonnington Council and Y-Lab’s ‘Junior Leadership Summit’ at Prahran Town Hall .  Throughout the day, students participated in leadership workshops and collaborated with students from other local schools, whilst considering the many different facets of leadership and contemplating the kind of leader they want to be themselves. 

The day ended with speeches and a question and answer session from some extremely impressive and inspiring young leaders and entrepreneurs; one being Yuma Soerianto, an acclaimed app developer and coder who has won three scholarships from Apple and presents to audiences around the world.  He is also 12 years old and a year 7 student!

Our students left the Summit feeling inspired and enthusiastic about leadership, and passionate about pursuing their goals and what they believe in.
