Science Fair

We had a wonderful Science Fair on Monday. a BIG thank you to all the children and parents who worked so hard on their Science research and projects.

We saw lots of amazing experiments and demonstrations - You can start working on your entries for next year!

Adult Indian Cooking Class - Vegetarian Samosas with Chutney

Next Wednesday the 11th September at 7pm we are having an Indian cooking class.

We are cooking vegetarian food and it's a hands on class (we get to make and eat the food!)  run by Chef Parul from Parul's Kitchen.

The cost is $15 per adult payable on the night by cash only (maximum of 2 tickets per booking)

Footy Day

This Friday (tomorrow) we celebrate Footy Day. Children are allowed to come dressed in their favourite team colours (scarves, jumpers etc.). Uniform is not required on this day .

A gold coin donation to help raise funds for our adventure playground is welcomed.

Child Protection Week

This week is National Child Protection Week.

It's a great reminder to ensure we care and look after all of our children. 

It is also an opportunity to talk to our children about:

• staying safe
• walking to and from school safely
• not to go with anyone they do not know
• who they can talk to if they have a problem
• feelings and how our feelings are a good warning sign to keep us safe.

School Council - Film stars!

On Tuesday the Department of Education and Training sent a film crew to interview school council members about their experiences on School Council and the role they play. 

This will be made into learning modules for training new school council members and will  be used all over Victoria. 

Thank you to Sarvat (school council president) and Yana (school council member) for giving up their time to star in the filming.

NAPLAN

We received our NAPLAN test results this week and were really pleased with the school's results.

NAPLAN is one test on one day that provides one picture about our students' learning. Test reports will come home with students on Friday.
