Kindergarten cooling down
K/1 have had a very big year. We have been busy over the last couple of weeks finishing off our learning for 2020. Everyone has come so far in so many ways and we have had a beautiful year together. It is amazing to think back to the beginning of the year and now everyone is reading, writing, and doing number work so well. They know how to be kind and thoughtful to those around them and how to keep themselves safe and make good choices.
Digby the scout elf arrived in our classroom on the first day in December as he does every year. We are all extremely excited to see what he has been up to each morning when we come into class. The last few days of the term have been lots of fun as we celebrate the year and spend some time reflecting on all that we have learnt.
It is a privilege to work with the youngest children in our school each year as well as all of the other children and our fantastic staff.
See the photos for some of the antics the K/1 elf Digby got up to and a big thumbs up from a Kindergarten student for his first year of school!
Merry Christmas.

Wow, what a year it has been! Through all the disruptions this year has thrown up, one thing that hasn't changed is the fantastic community we are a part of here at Boorowa Central School. We are lucky in the Primary area to see children grow and mature, both academically and through their behaviour, as each year rolls on. All students should be very proud of the way they have handled this year, it is a credit to our parents and carers for supporting our school and staff throughout the most difficult times this year. Also, I would like to thanks all of the staff at BCS for handling every challenge so well this year (we went from classroom lessons to online learning....in 24 hours!) Each year I like to do a little snapshot of our time in the Primary area....

Our Primary excursion happened last week. Originally it was all planned for us to go to Dubbo and Wellington this year - unfortunately, we had to postpone that until 2021. So, after some encouragement from the students, it was decided to do a *sleep*-over in the Hall - however, from first-hand experience, not a great deal of sleep occurred! We enjoyed a river walk, NAIDOC activities, plenty of cooking and eating, watched a movie, played lots of games, a session at the pool and an ultimate challenge that went over the entire two days. The eventual winners of the challenge were the HEROES team, well done to everybody! All the kids had a great time and behaved well - we can't wait for another excursion next year (let's hope the Dubbo trip can happen!).
Thank you to all parents, carers, staff and the wider community for your continued support over the year. It is a pleasure to be a part of Boorowa Central School and we look forward to another exciting year in 2021.

The Boorowa Central School P&C has been busy organising a new school jacket which will be phased in over the next 3 years as part of our uniform.
The jackets will cost $45 each. Please see that attached sizing chart.
The Year 4 students pictured above are both wearing a size 12 jacket.
