Fantastic French

Bonjour tout le monde!

The Foundation students have settled in to the French language program. In week 3 we focused on greetings and counting to 12.

The Grade 1 and 2 students are exploring healthy foods and in week 3 they explored some fruits they like to eat.

In Week 3, students in Grade 3 and 4 started the topic of "J'aime le sport".

Assignments with activities and oral examples are posted in Showbie.

Students in Grade 3 are in the process of becoming more "au fait" with Showbie but Grade 4 students have accessed and posted their first part on this topic. Bravo!

"Les émotions" is the topic Grade 5 and 6 students are exploring this term. Their first task can be found in Showbie Week 3 French assignments. Oral and written examples are there for students to listen to, practice and to use to complete their work on a weekly basis.

Showbie is an excellent platform to showcase student work and to monitor individual student progress. We encourage students to practice at home, if the opportunity arises, especially in these uncertain times.

For grade 4 -6 Languagenut is also available for French written and oral practice.

Grade 3 classes and passwords will be processed soon.

We hope to use Seesaw in the same manner as Showbie, for the younger grades in the near foreseeable future.

Duolingo and the Victorian Education Department's "Languages on Line" are also fantastic sites to access for furthering French learning and practice.

Question for this week : How do you say "circuit breaker" in French?

Answer "Disjoncteur"
