“You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you                                                 think”

We have been brave, strong and have worked smarter than ever before. This year has been like no other but the learnings that have eventuated will help support us well to grow and flourish as individuals. Human connection and relationships have altered and somewhat realigned and no doubt will continue to progress in a different way. Everyone’s efforts have been remarkable and will hopefully provide a better future for us all.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our conscientious staff for their inspirational and energetic support in providing renewed momentum to help foster an optimistic future for our students. Congratulations and thank you to our students for their continued perseverance and displayed resilience in overcoming many challenges. Their strength and determination have been truly inspirational and give us all strength to move forward and take on these challenges. This is a measure of great character and they should be very proud of themselves. I hope that you and your families look forward to 2021 to be a year of hope, positive energy and renewed life.

It was fantastic to celebrate and acknowledge the hard work and achievements of students with our annual award presentations taking place last Friday at the College. Without the ability to hold our usual end of year presentation night, it was great to celebrate the achievements with so many students from Years 7 to 10 receiving awards. With parents unable to attend these events in person, we hope you enjoyed the opportunity to view the award ceremonies via the live stream. Our current Year 11 students will be presented with their awards early in 2021.

Our Class of 2020 recently celebrated their final College event with the school hosting students for their Valedictory in the new senior school building. Even without the formal venue, students still dressed up for this formal occasion. It was great that Year 12 students were able to celebrate their achievements, along with fellow students being recognised for various academic, co-curricular and leadership awards. We would like to thank the Senior School team for organising this event in such a short time frame, along with wishing our Class of 2020 the very best as they embark on their challenges and adventures with their secondary schooling now complete.

With 2021 fast approaching, please contact our uniform supplier PSW for all required uniform items. With PSW being closed at various stages throughout this year, we are aware that large numbers of students will require a variety of clothing and uniform items prior to the beginning of 2021. Please refer to Student Dress Code (click here) for all uniform requirements in 2021.

Year 7-11 Reports

Reports will be available on Compass on Wednesday 16th December from 10am. In line with Department of Education guidelines, there are a few small changes to reports for this Semester. These are:

  • Attendance will not be shown on reports due to the significant time in remote learning
  • Victorian Curriculum levels will only be included for English and Mathematics
  • Reports will include ratings against three Work Habits areas for each subject: Engagement in learning, Completed required work, Used Feedback

May you have a Merry Christmas, and a safe and happy holiday full of love, joy and hope. Enjoy this joyful, very special time with your loved ones.
