A Story about Digestion

One day I could feel something from the outside but I couldn't see anything. I can feel something around me, what is it. I was screaming for help but no one came, I see a light. It's getting bigger and bigger, I can see everything. What is this round thing in front of me, could it be the mouth, I thought the mouth was a legend. They once told me that if you have been picked up you will never come back. I was screaming “noooooooooo” I don't want to eaten yet.

I entered this person's mouth, all a sudden I felt like i was being chewed alive. Roughly thirty two teeth, each teeth had different style of chewing. The first four and both the bottom and top were designed for biting food, I felt that I was bitten into hafts. The molars on both sides are used for chewing me. Oh no, now it’s time for the saliva come to. Saliva has enzymes designed to break down huge molecules (such as starch) into small molecules (like glucose) so they can absorbed into the bloodstream. I began to travel down the pipe known as the esophagus.

At the end of the pipe was the person stomach. In there I realise that I wasn’t alone, there was vegis and a chocolate bar. I wait in the stomach for three hours, we have been attack by the acid, the acid was designed to break us down into runny, a soup-like liquid known as chyme. The stomach was protected by a lining around it to protect the acid, after staying in the stomach we were expelled into the first part of the small intestines called the duodenum.

In this part of the digestion system, i found myself face to face with some bile from the liver and pancreatic juice, all designed to break down my molecules so the good stuff can be absorbed into the bloodstream. I was kind of proud that my boring existence was being used to provide food and energy for the body. In the small intestine the nutrients and vitamins are absorbed into the bloodstream, after going through the small intestines I found myself traveling along the large intestines.

In the large intestines, all the moisture (water) was taken from us, the food. At the beginning of the large intestine, there is a organ called the appendix, but human has no use to it. The large intestine then pushes me toward the rectum (the last stage of the large intestine) when there is enough waste in the rectum, I will be expelled outside the body through the anus and I will become faeces (poo).
