Year 10 Work Experience
An important part of our Managed Individual Pathways programs (MIPs) is Work Experience for Year 10 students. For the first 2 weeks of Term 3 students will have an opportunity to see what the working world is like, and gain experience that will help them make pathway decisions as they move into the Senior Sub School.
As well as the usual opportunities for students in primary schools and retail outlets, this year students have secured places in some new locations, including the Melbourne Aquarium, Hotel Windsor, Melbourne Victory Football Club and the Australian Women’s Vietnamese Association.
We wish all of the Year 10 students well, and trust that they will represent our College in a very positive light in both the local and wider community.
Bring your own Devices
At the start of 2015, the college introduced the ‘Bring your own Device’ program. Within this program each student has purchased a digital device. In most cases this will be an iPad, an Apple Mac or a PC. The purpose of this program is to embed digital technology into learning for all students. We are now in the second year of this program.
All students are expected to bring their digital device into each lesson. Digital devices should be charged overnight so that students are then able to use them in classes while at school. Part of the program is the responsible use and care of the digital devices. Students are responsible for this. While at school, students have access to the school network and the resources it offers.
And finally...
We wish all our students and families a happy & safe break over the coming holidays, & thank you for the support you have given us this term.
School resumes on Mon 11th July, & we look forward to seeing you then.
